From what little information I have about Brian, I gather that he was an integral part of Filter before he left in 1997. The spilt between him and Richard was very ugly which each accusing the other of theft and a lack of talent. Brian's importance in setting up Filter should not be underestimated or ridiculed. He started off programming for Nine Inch Nails and also left with Richard to start Filter.
He is currently working on
his own project, Ashtar Command, and was the producer for Veruca
Salt's latest album, Revolver. He is also currently dating Veruca
Salt's lead singer, Louise Post.
