Melissa joined 'Hole' after the tragic death of Kristen Pfaff in 1994. She was introduced to Courtney Love by Billy Corgan who was impressed with her after her band 'Tinker' opened for the Pumpkins in Montreal. Melissa had never heard of Hole and needed a week to learn their songs for a gig in England.
Melissa left
Hole in 1999, and joined the Pumpkins :)
